The Delehanty's summer home in County
Tipperary before leaving Ireland in 1853. Ha ha ha. More
appropriately, this "Rock of Cashel" in County Tipperary can be taken as a
symbol of Ireland's profound social and class divisions, the root cause of
the horrific Potato Famine of the late 1840s. All of our Irish
ancestors came to North America fleeing extreme poverty and destitution in
their homeland.
