Site of Delehanty Boarding House, a mile east of West Castleton.

369.  Property of John Durfee on Cedar Mtn Road, and the likeliest site of the Delehanty Boarding House -- John Delehanty's boyhood home -- looking south toward the lake.  Thanks to John Durfee for letting me tromp around around and behind his house, where one can find the remains of the road shown on old maps.

370.  Site of Delehanty Boarding House, boyhood home of John Delehanty, from his birth there on Halloween 1886 until his father's death 13 years later.  All existing structures were removed during the construction of this house, yard, road, and waterfront, according to John Durfee.  What remains are faint traces of the old road running north from the back yard.

"Hatch House" on Creek Road, Hydeville (James Delehanty's old house)

373.  Back to Vy's!  Upstairs bedroom, NE corner, James & Mary Delehanty's old house on Creek Road, Hydeville.  John Delehanty probably slept in one of these rooms around age 15, and came to know this house well, after his Uncle James became his legal guardian after his mother's death in October 1901.
